Now as soon as my friend said this I had the instant urge to rebuke this act, but I didn’t. I don’t know why but I didn’t. I just sat there and kept watching. I knew what to say and to keep him accountable but I didn’t. This was an act of cowardice that I cannot forgive myself for. What is worse is that I had just been discussing theology with another friend and teacher. This teacher was still in the room and since he was busy made a comment that I grasped but my friend did not. I am ashamed for not saying something myself and just hoping it would go unnoticed. Even if no one had noticed God would have. This lack of action has given me shame towards myself and makes me feel shameful at seeing this teacher knowing that he probably thinks less of me now due to my weakness. This may be God’s way of showing me minor consequences for my actions but they do not feel minor. Besides failing as a friend and a servant of the Lord I have lost much respect I am sure in the eyes of this teacher. If this teacher is reading this entry I extend my deepest apologies for failing so miserably, and at a time when the Lord was fresh on my mind, this will not happen again. I will no longer allow such incidences to occur without rebuking the one that is at fault. A newer stronger Hayden has just been made for the service of the Lord.

Why?

This year there have been many things remembered, many of which do not deserve the remembrance they have been given. At the forefront of my mind is the memorial for those that died in the nuclear bombs dropped on Japan during World War Two. This was a war, wars have a victim, that’s just the way wars are, there is no way for everyone to win and be happy with no deaths on either side. Yet for some reason or other the bleeding hearts that are ever so politically correct have decided that there should not be a loser. Instead there should be simply victims. Innocent victims of war that deserve remembrance in a fond loving manner befitting the heroes of our own country lost during the war. These men are also victims but since we won they are not nearly as important, since they were successful they shall be remembered but no one shall cry out in outrage over their deaths. The Japanese did not deserve such a punishment they say, it was too much. The Japanese deserve compensation, even though we already helped all of the axis powers rebuild. Voices shall ring in outrage at the deaths of the japans but not over the deaths of heroes.
Another example of making everyone a winner is the way that we rewarded the Indians for losing here in America. I call them Indians not Native Americans because I am also a native of America and they get to keep their original title (you can’t change your name after 100 years). So any way the Indians raped, pillaged, and murdered many innocent settlers, true the settlers encroached on their migratory lands but if you cant defend it then it is not yours. So the Indians and the Americans go to war. The Indians being primitive savages lose because of their lack of technology. Short and simple the Americans win. Now we graciously give the losers their own tiny counties. Why? We won it is ours, tough luck war is hell. Now these Indians have goldmines while the rest of us suffer through our taxable every day lives. We are tax paying citizens that never started a war and we suffer more.
Basically bleeding hearts need to stop influencing the county.

In Memory

We Will Never Forget. 9/11/01

Something inflammatory this way comes

It is time for a rant about the almighty fallacy which is the misinterpreting of the Bible to make it seem more in line with our own human nature. If you know me you know my view, the Bible is infallible period end of discussion. However the fact that it is infallible annoys some people because they feel that their God wouldn’t do this or that. There is something that must be said before I continue, I in no way hold a grudge against anyone for their beliefs as different and varied as they may be; agnostics, objectivists, atheists, and Muslims no grudges or hate towards these parties coming from myself. However as I say I do not dislike these parties it is necessary for the consistency of my own being that I say, in no fancy or passive aggressive manner that these individuals as great as they may be in this world are not saved. I have spent fore time than I would care to count trying to find a loophole for such individuals simply because I have friends from many of these categories and as such would not like to see them damned, however no such loophole exists any place in the Bible that I can find. I am aware of the fact that some say that man is incapable of truly interpreting all of the Bible correctly but this is yet another attempt put forward by those unwilling to take a stand to ease their human nature. If any part of what I have said seems unfair or incorrect check some of my older articles and discussions linked to them, these are hard theological facts that I have come to grips with. If anything has not been addressed I deeply hope that the reader will leave a comment for me.

The Wonder That Is A Sunset

This is a bit of a belated article but the facts within remain true. A sunset has been called many things, the muse of countless poets and a sailors tool for predicting the weather. Although everyone will always say that it is a pretty sunset if told look up, but few people take full advantage of these wonders. It is universally accepted that sunsets are wonderful and some take the time to stop each day and appreciate them. This a good practice just to give yourself a daily pick-me-up, but even better is the rare moment of catching one by chance. These two instances illustrate this theory perfectly; I was at the beach for my brothers birthday so at the end of the day every one stops to watch the sunset, this happens every time I go to the beach but by the end of the day you are expecting it and have built it up to the point where it is beautiful but somewhat diminished by your expectations. My second example is still my favorite sunset that I have ever experienced. One night as soccer practice ran late, as it always did, I happened to look up and there it was. Now by the end of this practice everyone was tired, it was not before a game day so it was more tiring than usual (we were worked harder). Everyone’s head was hanging from exhaustion but for a split second I looked up and there it was, all shades of pink and orange with the last rays of light bursting through the cold grey clouds. Maybe it was the timing or perhaps I was too tired to tell the difference but either way it was beautiful, an overused word, but the only one in my miniscule mind that can describe such a sunset without sounding corny or gaudy. In closing how can any man see a sunset and not see evidence of a creator.

life is a funny thing

Step back, just for a second or for an hour. Just take the time to look around you outside of your normal viewpoint. The world looks different from a third person perspective. A girl at my school showed me this a few weeks ago and I thought it was amazing. Everything that people do looks ridiculous from a different viewpoint. There are the girls in the circle of the court yard gossiping and trying out a new member for their “click”. The new girl is obviously miserable and uncomfortable, but apparently being part of this circle is worth it. Then there are the cool guys on a corner, another boy (probably the nicest one in the school) tries to talk to them, and they pretend to listen and then ignore him and force him out of the circle. The boy leaves and finds a different group of nicer people to hang out with, boys and girls alike are hear, they have decided that happiness is better than popularity and they all stand together laughing. The girl in her new circle is still miserable but popular. The truth is that high school and even the world are funny places. The nicer people are better to be around but apparently being nice isn’t cool so they are not popular, but there are actually as many of them as the supposed popular kids. What does this tell me? Viewpoint is everything. The nice ones are the ones that I would call popular because they are the ones that I could talk to and not feel like screaming at. The next time you feel awkward take a step back and you wont. Being cool is in our head anyway, but the nice people are truly cool. Oh and if anyone from my school reads this know that at lunch if you see me alone it is because I am a lonely outcast, it is because I enjoy watching dumb people create their own misery when they would be welcome 20 feet away.

Humor

I thought it was funny....

My Creed

God the Father is the omniscient omnipresent omnipotent creator of the universe. God the father controls and knows all things; past, present and future. The father has divinely ordained all things. He is the unchanging perfect God of the Bible.
God the spirit is responsible for acting on the hearts and minds of all men. He is divinely responsible for turning all elect Christians to God. The Spirit is responsible for removing and placing the restraining hand of God on the hearts of all men, according to the father’s will. The spirit is responsible for the divine inspiration of the scripture. The Spirit is also responsible for convicting the hearts of men as to their sin.
The Son was sent to earth by the Father as a perfect sacrifice to save the souls of all men who believe. He came to earth and died to save sinful people that persecuted him and he rose again on the third day to fulfill the messianic covenant. Jesus was fully man and fully God in one on earth.
Man was created in God’s image at the beginning of time. Man was created without sin but through disobedience corrupted himself and became innately sinful. Men are then saved by faith in Christ’s sacrifice and can now spend eternity with God in heaven. Men around the world will see Christ’s saving glory during the second coming. Man’s salvation is completely due to Christ and God’s plan, for man is unable and to save himself.

Election

This is a paper I wrote for Bible. The numbers stand for documents that give ideas which are shown at the end.
The doctrine of election is one of the most contested tenants of Christianity as we know it. In order to understand election it is important for one to understand all of its teachings, tenants, and origin so that one can decide for one’s self whether of not this doctrine is truly verifiable and in essence correct and worthy of being taught. It is also to understand how it is verified, what the opposition to this doctrine claims, God’s reason for creating it and in truth its very nature.
The doctrine of election is in fact a small part of the doctrine of predestination. Predestination is the doctrine that states that God has for-ordained all things. Election is predestination regarding the saving of souls or salvation. This doctrine also states that god knows all things that are going to happen and that have happened. This doctrine will be key in understanding the rest of this essay on election. Election as sad as it may seem cannot exist without the rejection of some people. If God were to allow everyone to go to heaven election would not be election, it would be a form of universal grace. As Psalm 78 expresses it, "He refused the tabernacle of Joseph, and chose not the tribe of Ephraim; but chose the tribe of Judah” this shows that in both election and predestination God chooses some and some are abandoned. Once again this choosing is necessary due to the fact that without it grace would exist for all people and although it is available to all, if it was freely given without any trial or requirement our God would be almost too merciful. God’s choosing of who goes to heaven and who does not helps to give each of us an individual loving relationship with God that is even furthered due to the fact that we are aware of our being chosen. If God were to simply extend meaningless grace to everyone no one would God would not be able to say we were chosen special and we would owe him nothing. This would tare at the very fabric of our lives since a personal debt to God is part of the reason many Christians continue to serve him. If God did not choose some but gave free redemption to all without asking anything in return our God would actually be less great because of his almost wimpy way of handling things, making everyone happy. This choosing by God is not however arbitrary or random. This choosing is according to God’s perfect will that is beyond our understanding and beyond our possible comprehension. Election like predestination is a doctrine that we must take on faith. We cannot no matter how hard we try understand or make complete sense of either doctrine. God has left some things that are to complex for us to understand. This faith forces us to become closer to our God or abandon him. Both glorify Him so our reactions to his doctrine matter little in the long run. God surely has reasons for electing some and abandoning others but the truth is that he is glorified by both and his reasons and ways are beyond our understanding, we must simply have faith that God has a purpose in all that he does.
Another common question is, “what role does God actually play in salvation?”. God has many and actually all of the roles in the process of salvation, so he does not stop at electing those who are going to be saved. The Lord’s first and primary role in the process of salvation is the role of creating a way for people to be justified. The way he did this was by sending his one and only son to die on the cross, which was a perfect sacrifice that expunged all of the sins that anyone will ever commit who believes in Jesus as the son of God. So even for those that the Lord has elected to be among the chosen do not have a proverbial “free ride”.
Now as I have previously stated neither this nor the doctrine of predestination are particularly agreeable to the hearts and minds of men. However, we should be glad that this doctrine, and the entire religion are disagreeable to man. If a religion or set of doctrine are agreeable or enjoyable that can mean only one thing, that it was created by men. We should rejoice in the idea that this doctrine is uncomfortable. “It should be pointed out that the design of every false scheme and system of religion is to depict the character of God in such a way that it is agreeable to the tastes of the carnal heart, acceptable to depraved human nature.”(1) That statement illustrates one of the key ideas behind proving the validity of election. No man would invent a doctrine that is counter to his desires as a completely depraved human being. Humans by nature strive to achieve glory and power. This doctrine is completely counter to that belief as is predestination. Both of these doctrines praise the Lord for the total control He has and the total lack of control we have as human beings. " In Romans 9:23 election is referred to as a preparing to glory, this simply means that God through the Holy Spirit prepares our hearts and minds for his word so that we can in fact receive the word of God and not be hostile to it. Without God working on our hearts and minds our total depravity would make us incapable of receiving the message of God. "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in the heavenlies in Christ: according as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world" (Eph. 1:3, 4). This verse although somewhat long is arguably the only verse necessary to prove that election is in fact a true doctrine. This verse clearly without any room for misinterpretation states that God had chosen those he was going to save before he had even created the world. Further more the reformed idea of unconditional election (3) continues to defy the wishes of men. Salvation based off no action that have or are going to commit is one of the most un-human ideas I have ever heard of. Men already hate the idea of someone else deciding their fat, but someone else deciding their faith off no personal preference or experience, men will not even buy a used car without taking it for a checkup and a test drive.
Already we have gone over what election is in a nutshell, what role God plays in it and how it can be defended with and without scripture. The next topic to be discussed has already been touched on but needs to be described further. What needs to be addressed is why election is even necessary. Many people have said that just doesn’t really matter since missionaries and evangelists are responsible for bringing people to Christ. But the truth of the matter is that no person can come to Christ without the Holy spirit working on their heart. In the book of exodus pharaoh sees many miracles but refuses to believe them or release the Jews. Then when the Lord takes his restraining hand away from pharaoh’s heart pharaoh gives in to his totally depraved human nature and attacks the Jews. This shows the depravity that is in the heart of every human being. The human heart is a scary thing, when unrestrained it strives only for selfish means such as glory or wealth, even violence. When Adam and Eve sinned in the garden of Eden sin nature entered the hearts of everyone on the earth, and everyone one who is born on the earth. It says in the Bible that we are all born into sin and must be reborn through Christ to be saved. However the sin that we are born into also effectively keeps us from doing what is necessary to save ourselves from hell and eternal separation from God. Our actions in the Past make it impossible for us to save ourselves, “we have been save through faith”. That is why we need a savior, we are not pure. And we need election for the same reason, we are not pure enough to choose the truth for ourselves. So actually rather than angrily disputing election we should rejoice in it. Even though some do perish praise the Lord for he has mercy on some of us.
Another problem many people have with election is the idea that their loving merciful God would not damn someone to hell. The straight truth is that he would though. doesn’t a potter have the right to set some pots aside for special use and keep others for everyday. We cannot understand why God would do this but he does and we need to accept that he is God and has supreme rule over his creation and that right to do whatever he sees as fit, even if we think it is unfair or unjust. He is glorified by both and we have know right to criticize the ultimate creator and ruler of the universe.
As previously mentioned, election is a sub-category of predestination but in order to defend election which I have already done I must now defend predestination since you cannot have one without the other. I shall begin by brining into view what the world would be like if predestination were not true and our horribly wicked sin natures were allowed to play out. If the Lord did not restrain our hearts ever at any time the world would be a much scarier place. As previously mentioned pharaoh was driven mad when God’s restraining hand was lifted from him, now imagine that on a world wide scale. People everywhere would lack restraint of any kind. The world has shown us over and over again what atrocities man is capable of when left to his own devices. So if God has predestined everything many people ask, “why is there suffering and evil.” There are many answers to this question. One of the more popular answers is the blueprint world view (2) this view basically states that evil exists in the world because it is better for the creation in the long run, God could have made the world sinless but it was better in the end to have sin. This view claims to address the problem of a purely good God and a sin nature being allowed to take hold, bit it seems to skirt the edge to closely for my liking. Other theories range from God not actually being all powerful to God being a sort of divine watchmaker that set the earth in motion and then stepped back, the latter is called theistic evolution. Another argument I am familiar with is the idea that God is simply beyond good or evil. The idea behind this theory is the idea that once one becomes very wise the line between good and evil fades and nothing is really evil but in fact different, that is why the wise rarely call things evil (4). However one of the best arguments I have heard that today makes the most sense is the idea that evil exists simply in instances where our free will (which does exist some how) gets the better of us and God releases his restraining hand. Then it is important to see that evil exists but God combats and seeks to help us to combat it by giving us the way of the cross. We must simply believe in Jesus and he forgives our sins, therefore evil exists not due to the will of God but due to the will of man that he lets us have. Even to a more extreme degree who are we to question him in any are, even this one. We have only our depraved universe to question his will by, and our depraved views and ideas are just that, depraved. God does have a perfect will for us but we do to ur very sinful nature seek to make it what seems better to us but instead end up completely destroying God’s perfect will and replacing it with our own wrong and sinful plan for how we feel things should be. So in this way God is perfect, we have simply corrupted his perfect will but he gives us a way out through Christ.
An important result that comes from election is justification, justification is simply put, the act of God declaring us righteous by our faith in Christ (6). Then after our initial faith and justification, sanctification occurs (5). Sanctification can be defined as, the process by which the Holy Spirit sets us apart to be like Christ in all that we do, think, and desire(6). It is necessary to understand the full process by which we are made acceptable to Christ rather than just parts of the process. Predestination can become an excuse for some for their poor or mediocre behavior but it is not an excuse, it is a solemn doctrine.
As I have just mentioned predestination has become an excuse for some who have resigned themselves to the idea that since the Lord has for-ordained things they do not need to try to do their best at anything, and when they fail they say that it was God’s will for them. This is called fatalism and it is not a legitimate theological belief. The Lord clearly states that we are to do whatever we do to the glory of God. The Lord is not glorified, satisfied, or pleased when one of his children fails to do what they have been told to do and then they blame their sinful actions on God. And that just what fatalism is, it is blaming God for your shortcomings and not only is it incorrect it is blasphemous since you are accusing a perfect and holy God of causing you to do something that is against his very nature.
In this paper I have covered every aspect of election. I have covered the difference between election and predestination. I have covered all of the possible flaws with election from how a perfect God could have a corrupt creation to where election can be found in the Bible. I have even covered God’s role in election and why it is important to us as Christians. The steps that come after and during election have been covered and abuses of election and predestination like fatalism have been shot down. Election has been covered and I hope it has been an enlightening experience.

1. Pbministries.org
2. IS GOD TO BLAME? Gregory A. Often people will say that the president is the most powerful person in the United States but the truth is that the most powerful people or entities are the media and the chairman of the federal reserve. Because honestly people care about one thing more than anything else and that is money. And the chairman controls the economy of the U.S. that is why I laugh when presidential candidates talk about how they will improve the economy, the chairman of the federal reserve is honestly the one man that can greatly influence our economy. But back on topic, the media is probably the most powerful entity when it comes to influencing the hearts and minds of the public. An example that comes to mind would be in the 40’s and 50’s when one senator McCarthy began his witch hunt to attack anything that even resembled communism, sometimes breaking the very constitution he claimed to be protecting. He had scared and charmed the public into believing that there was a threat to them that did not even exist. No one could stand against him but a CBS anchorman, Ed Murrow, took him on exposing the senator and turning a country against him. This one feet alone proves the power of the media but the question you must ask yourself now is, do you trust the current liberal media with this power?

Time

Don’t waste another minute. That is advice worth living by. In this world there arte so many things required of you that are arbitrary and unnecessary and there are just as many dumb things we do because we just want to. How many moments are wasted doing things that in 5 minutes wont matter. If I am not going to be an engineer why do I need geometry, I don’t think I will need to classify the shapes of columns I have written. The fact is that the 16 hours I have spent in drivers ed to get half way done are completely useless, I passed the practice test on my first day. The government requires me to pay money to take a class that wastes my time and money. In general just letting other people tell you what you need to do is a toilet for your time. And lets face it half of the stuff we call fun is useless garbage that will not help us in the future. For example on a day where I stay home after school I am restless and don’t do anything but if I go jogging or simply go out and play with my soccer ball for half an hour I can focus and I feel I have done something constructive, basically doing nothing is easier at first but in the long run is harder than doing something. But at the same time doing something you don’t need to is worse than doing nothing at times, for example when I do home work in geometry my test grades and general understanding go down. But when I don’t do home work my actual comprehension and test grades go up. Mr. Hervey can tell you that my track record for worksheets is about 10% but at the same time I have gotten an A on every test, so my grade is still an A. Basically spend your time doing what helps you and don’t waste it.

Viva America

Alright I have remained silent on this for a while but now I am going to talk about it. WHERE DO ILLEGAL IMIGRANTS GET OFF SAYING THEY HAVE RIGHTS!!!!! To have rights you have to be a citizen that’s part of the reason for becoming one. But ok now that I have explained the constitution I can rant about all of the protestors. Come on it is absolutely ridiculous how many “Latinos” and “Latinas” decided to go out and protest. It was almost funny actually because on the free ways when they were protesting was about 60% of the crime in LA. If everyone that was protesting just disappeared we would be better off. About 10% of the students if the LA unified school district are openly illegal and openly talk about jumping the border on weekends. These are people that grow up to become criminals peddling drugs and living off welfare. And what do the illegals come here to do?? MAKE BABYS!! They come here and reproduce so that their children are American citizens. Time to change the laws so you have to be born to citizens to be citizens. So time to recap, illegals do not have rights, you should have to be born to citizens to be one, and now to continue, stop taking up our jobs. The most popular argument has always been that illegals do jobs no one else will, well that not true. A recent study showed that young people and the unemployed would gladly do these jobs but since they are citizens and get minimum wage it is easier just to higher an illegal for 2 bucks an hour. Further more they are not spending their money here they are sending it back to madre y padre back in Mexico. So they drain our resources.

Another thing that burns me, seeing the mayor of LA out there protesting with them. And he got elected because the week before any voting in the U.S. all the Mexicans jump the border and use their fake ID to vote (actually happens, saw it on nightline). So none of our votes for president are even fair. In closing all I have to say is that it is time to build a wall.

Sacrifice

I was recently reading an article about a man who was sentenced to death for his heresy, trying to make an English version of the Bible. This got me thinking, will I do anything great for my faith. Would I be willing to die for my beliefs. Well I hope the answer is yes to both of those questions but I have control over the answer is the scary thing. Now yes predestination, God decided everything, but there is free will in there somewhere and I need to use it. I need to find a way make a difference like this man if not for him it is possible that the progression of Christianity could have taken much much longer. Now I know that most Christians when asked if they would die for their faith say yes but I just don’t honestly believe that. I just have a hard time swallowing the idea that 90% of the people at my church would actually die. If someone pointed a gun at me and asked if I am a Christian I don’t know what I would say, let alone if I would be willing to die. The faith needs people willing to sacrifice to spread it and I want to help spread it but I feel as though I can never live up to the examples of great Christian men from the past, but then again not many can.

Apathy

Apathy is one of the largest problems facing the world as we know it. Whether you are a Christian or not apathy, has become a plague on modern society. Apathy has led to youth and adults alike feeling as though the things around them are out of control or simply not worthy of their attention. Examples of this are prevalent in our day to day culture, for example in Iraq no matter how you spin it we are saving lives and the quality of life has gone up. To say such an act is reproachable is not only wrong but shows the apathy of that person towards the well being of others. If people in the world just thought about how they would like being in that situation the world would be a better place. Apathy towards the world is just a plague plain and simple.

Aid for Close to HOME

Why is it that churches in America send missionaries off to foreign countries to evangelize there when there are so many people unsaved within 1 mile of pretty much every church? Shouldn’t we take the thousands that save a few and use them closer to home where it will go farther and save more people. If you factor in the cost of plane tickets and lodgings for church groups that go overseas you could easily witness to many more people in the local area. The exact same amount of money would last much longer or just go out to more people. Maybe logic doesn’t belong in the church but I feel that foreign missions are just expected now but not necessarily the best choice. This brings me to the way that the church and the government send so much aid over seas, in the form of medication and wheelchairs, has no one ever been to downtown LA? No one ever took the time to drive a mile and look at all the people who need help here? Come on there were people in need before Katrina hit, but it took a natural disaster to get attention. There are just as many poor people in the Midwest in need from losing their jobs. Why do people always see some mentally ill guy on street (by the way we can thank the ACLU for getting that guy out of a mental hospital) but instead of giving him a nickel they give it to some organization for Africa. It is almost like you would rather help the person farthest from you, like the farther away they are or what country they are in makes your donation more righteous.

LAME STUFF

I am making a list of things that are lame, here we go.
1. This is something that I really look forward to doing but I feel extremely serious about. This project has me actually declaring all of my beliefs that I think are core to being a Christian. As I have previously stated I am not a fan of predestination but I feel that I am at the point where I can accept it now. So for the first part of my creed I will be talking about the omnipotence of God, since God being all powerful is central to my belief. So here is a first draft of the section of my creed specifically about God. By the way comments on this and ways to defend it would be much appreciated.

God is all powerful. God controls all things past, present and future. The Lord has preordained all men to either receive his amazing mercy, or his just wrath. Everyone in heaven or hell is there because they were preordained to go there before the beginning of time according to God’s perfect will. In short God knows and controls all things. By the way of controlling all things the Lord is also in all places (omnipresent).

I AM FEEBLE

I finally thought of something worth saying. I don’t like being eternally feeble. God has put things in the and in the world and in the universe that I just cant understand, and to my knowledge know one knows the answer to some of these questions. I guess I should be content to know that god is in control but that also makes me feel insecure. Now anyone who knows me knows that there are two doctrine in the Bible that kill me; Predestination, and Election. I cant wrap my head around the idea of a loving, perfect God sentencing some of us to death. But then I am confronted with the fact that those going to hell do not get injustice they merely receive what we all deserve. The few elect receive mercy(I really really like that word). This means we simply receive better than we deserve. So not a single person truly receives injustice. Now some may say why would God do this he made us, so on and so forth but he is glorified in all things. The execution of mercy and justice, no matter how difficult justice is to accept. I can accept this, I am of the lucky few elect who receive mercy and knowing that there is justice makes mercy even more of a thing to relish no matter how cold that may sound.
I just cant deal with predestination. I don’t like the idea of not controlling my own actions but at the same time I like the idea of trusting in God, so I am somewhat conflicted. Predestination humbles me every day because I know that free will also exists. This discussion runs through my head at least once every day (usually more than once though). God never stops reminding us of how much greater than us he truly is and I guess it is a good thing, as long as you open your eyes or listen or just stop to think God will find a way to manifest his omnipotence and glory.

JUST A COOL PICTURE

I give you a sweet dive.

the meaning behind the title

I just realized that I never explained the reason for the title of this blog. Truth is not relative is the name because to many people in the world see the world in shades of gray. No truth, only what feels good for me or for you.
There are rights and wrongs and they are not based on opinion. truth whether in the context of right and wrong or any other sense is not relative to what you feel. Truth is truth right is right and wrong is wrong. The Bible is truth the sins of the flesh are wrong it doesn’t matter how you try to spin it. The Lord will not be swayed by your views he will only tell you that you are wrong, and punish you for it. Sola Scriptura Soli Deo Gloria Solo Christo Sola Gratia Sola Fide and there you have it, all you need to know about truth in five easy phrases.

LIBERALS YE BE WARNED!!

I just realized that now I have a place to bash all the flaming bleeding heart hippie liberals that have always angered me. I feel better knowing that terrorists are busy blowing themselves up in the middle east. They are so busy killing themselves there they don’t have any one to spare to blow up innocent Americans. I have always said that just because I cant spell very well and am not very good at math, that doesn’t make me stupid. I can do other things. I am not sure what exactly but I feel as though I am capable of discussion beyond some of my friends (I am not bragging I just hope that I am not imagining this as a strength). I cant solve geometry problems quickly, I cant name every major part of a mitochondria (sorry Mr. Smith) and I cant write an amazing paper off the top of my head. But I feel like if I have someone who challenges me in a belief I can defend myself rather well. I know that I can easily be put down (in a teacher to pupil positive learning way) by certain teachers i.e. Mr. Hervey, but I feel like I can at least form somewhat of a discussion. Maybe I am wrong, maybe I do not have this strength but I feel like its all I have going for me so I hope so. Either way I have gotten off topic but the point was that there are different strengths and different forms of knowledge than seem to accepted. This partially ties into my previous entry about knowledge, I feel like I try my best and this is just what I am good at. I also feel like SAT testing is worthless because of this (just had them).

crazy beach night

This last Friday night some friends and I got bored so we packed my family's old Chevy Corsica with all five of us and drove to the beach. We left my house about 11:30 and got to the beach about 12:00. It was pretty fun. We blew past a cop on accident and the car is old so it is unregistered and uninsured so if we had been pulled over it would have been bad. When we got to the beach all the sand we kicked up had crazy glowing stuff in it. It was a great night.

what happened to knowledge being a good thing

What has happened to the world? All the sins of the world originated from wanting as much knowledge as God, to be God's equal. Now people are content to be idiots. The average person in my high school doesn’t care about how much knowledge they are able to obtain. Now I am aware of the fact that not all knowledge is book knowledge and I myself do not always have the best grades but I still want to gain knowledge. We are all God's creations and so many of us are wasting our lives just because it is not cool to be smart or we are just lazy. I am just as guilty as anyone but why cant we at least attempt to make something of ourselves. Why is that only the poor struggle to better themselves? We should all try to better our standing in the world instead of taking on the sad excuse of a life slogan that is some where around fatalism and apathy.
